EMAIL-estimates
Email-Estimates, are the best way for me to give you a price estimate on the work you have. It doesn't usually make sense for me to come out and do a traditional estimate on the smaller repair jobs. If it's something larger, like a 3-5 day job, then it's probably a good idea, but for the small stuff...an email estimate almost always suffices.
Send me an email with a brief description of the work, and a couple of pictures (include at least 2 angles, and/or an inside and outside shot), a few rough measurements, and I'm generally able to get you a pretty firm price. More importantly, it allows me to arrive at your house with all of the materials and tools that I think I'll need to complete the repair. The more prepared I am, the less likely I'll need to run out for some material I wasn't able to anticipate.
